Who will I be talking to throughout this process? Yes! The gender you were assigned at birth is not a part of our application process. You will provide your birth year, as well as information about your race/ethnicity and gender, but this information will not be connected to your full preferred or legal name. You will also be asked to fill out a demographic survey with information that Uniting Pride is required to report to the organizations that provide funding for programs like UP & Away. My suggestion is for each of you to use Week 3 to complete all tabs of your live binder assignment. Although Part 2 of the live binder assignment is due in week 4, please keep in mind that you also have to develop your own teacher-made assessment and write an assessment plan in Week 4. If you have money, but need to spend it on other things, and this financial strain prevents you from spending money on gender-affirming items, you qualify for our program. Please note that used items must be in generally good condition and be free of stains and scents of any kind. While Uniting Pride maintains our inventory with purchases and donations from gc2b, we also welcome community donations of new or gently used gender-affirming items.

UP & Away is an official partner program of gc2b. We are not able to ship binders outside the state of Illinois.
